i bet some of you heard about Bonnie and Clyde
but very few of you know about Bobby and Lyle...
a similar couple in many respects
but somehow the couple that everybody forgets
and one day Bobby said:

"Baby I don't know if it's somthin' i done,
but your face is lookin' long and glum."

"Baby, I'm just tired of bein' so damn broke...
cant afford coffee - can't afford smoke."

"I'll tell ya what we could do, my boy...
Ya know that building on 5th and Franklin?"

"You mean that one with the hotel and the shops and the bank in it?"

"That's just the one, and you know what I heard?
I heard security at that Bank's absurd.
Now what I was thinkin' it ain't quite conventional.
It might require that we break the law a little,
but I have a plan that I think is fool proof."

"Baby, what you talkin' about?!"

"Now hear me out 'fore you jump to conclusions.

And what has that dumb ol' bank done lately for you?"

so they set out thinkin' it would be fun
and rolled to the bank with Lyle's old man's gun
they walked in and stripped an shouted:

"Hands in the air!
Everybody time to get naked!"

sure enough everyone was shocked and left dumb
no one even bothered to tell the police to come
until Bobby and Lyle walked out the door
and everyone had a chance to get their clothes from off the floor

"And I think we should get away to
Tahiti and buy a house and a poodle."

"And I ain't never left this state in my whole life
and I think we should do it!

"BUY A TICKET FOR A JET AIRPLANE!
TELL OUR FAMILY THAT WE WON A LOTTERY GAME!
ESCAPE INTO THE SUNSET NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN!
SPEND THE REST OF OUR LIVES BUTT NAKED!"
